Why would such a young and capable man as Biryeon turn to a life of thievery and danger? Why has passionate, impetuous Cardosa fallen in with callous Alareiks and noble Kashtaa? Is adventure and thrill her only desire? Or is there something more that only she knows?

A Father's Quest for Redemption

Alareiks is driven by only one thing, to get his son back, no matter the cost. He will let nothing get in the way. Sacrificing friendships, lives, gold, his body, and his sanity. But will he lose his soul in the process?

David S. Pittsenberger

Author of Fantastic Tales and Intriguing Stories

David is devoted to bringing back the stories of old: the heart pounding adventure, the high, personal stakes. His characters aren't interested in saving the world, but sometimes that happens anyway.

He has submitted short fiction to several publications and competitions and will post updates here on the site. He is working on his first full-length novel, Temple of the Dragon God, which is set to be published next year.

In the written word, we will always need those complex, one name heroes to catapult us out of our daily lives into escapist glory. Conan, Elric, Imaro, Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser (okay, five words, but it's two heroes with three words between them), Drizzt, etc.

And in film, David seeks modern adventures that match the best of his youth: Conan, The Beastmaster, Highlander, Ladyhawke, Big Trouble in Little China, Willow, and The Neverending Story.

A proud father and Marine veteran, besides spending family time, he loves reading, writing, playing bass, and watching the latest sci-fi, fantasy, and media where the complicated good guys help those that can't help themselves, e.g. MacGyver, Burn Notice, Magnum P.I., The A-Team, etc.
